Teeing Off for Change: A Charity Golf Tournament to Support Huronia Transition Homes

Huronia Transition Homes is proud to host our inaugural Charity Golf Tournament at the stunning Nest at Friday Harbour Resort—one of Canada’s premier golf courses. This is more than just a day on the green, it's an opportunity to take a swing against gender-based violence.  HTH services over a thousand women a year who have survived gender-based violence, your participation in will directly contribute to providing shelter, advocacy, and life-saving services to women and children escaping violence and abuse. Together we can build a safer, more equitable tomorrow free from violence!

Why Attend?

  • Impactful Giving: Your participation goes far beyond a round of golf. Whether you’re taking part in a silent auction or directly contributing to our programs, every dollar raised helps Huronia Transition Homes provide critical services to those in need.
  • Unmatched golf experience: The Nest at Friday Harbour is a challenging yet forgiving course, with pristine views, expansive greens, and exquisite facilities. There is never a bad day on a golf course, especially when its to support a good cause!
  • Networking Opportunities: Play alongside influential leaders, philanthropists, and executives who share your commitment to making a meaningful difference. This is your chance to engage with like-minded individuals who care about more than just business—they care about creating lasting social change.
  • Be an agent of change: Violence against women needs more people to join in the movement for its eradication. Become part of the future we all desire and show up to raise awareness about this critical issue. The more people in the movement to end gender-based violence, the more positive change is made.

100% Canadian, Supporting Women Owned Entrepreneurship

Huronia Transition Homes has been at the forefront of ending violence against women for over 40 years, creating a powerful legacy of support and advocacy. In 2017, we expanded our mission with Operation Grow, a dynamic social enterprise based in Midland, Ontario. Operation Grow provides women with the resources, training, and entrepreneurial opportunities to enhance their financial independence while improving their access to nutritious food. This pivotal initiative serves as the foundation for the 2025 HTH event, showcasing the incredible achievements of women-owned businesses across Simcoe County.

This year’s event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of local women-owned businesses and the supportive men in our community who share our vision of empowerment and equality.
