Take Back the Night 2026

Join us for Take Back the Night 2026! This is a protest and rally that demands an end to sexual assault and gender-based violence by connecting with the community and marching through the streets of downtown Barrie to make clear that this ongoing crisis of violence is unacceptable. First brought to the streets in Vancouver, Canada in 1978, Take Back the Night continues annually across the country and internationally. We will connect with community organizations, hear speakers on the topic of Gender-based Violence and the Criminal Justice System, enjoy refreshments (gluten-free and vegan options available), and march!

We will meet at Barrie City Hall (70 Collier St) and walk a short route around downtown Barrie. See the route map here:
