Today, on Human Rights Day and the last day of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence (GBV), we reflect on the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a landmark commitment to the dignity and rights of all people.
And we have a lot to reflect on during Human Rights Day as violence against women continues to be a touchstone in our nation's ongoing struggle to ensure that women can live freely without fear of emotional and/or physical abuse.
