Midland agency receives $745K to help human trafficking survivors

A major new provincial investment aimed at helping women gain financial independence and rebuild their lives after violence is coming to Huronia Transition Homes.

The Ontario government announced an $11-million investment over two years through its new Women's Economic Leadership and Legacy (WELL) Fund, supporting women pursuing careers in high-demand sectors while also helping survivors of human trafficking access education, employment and recovery supports.
